We can still only download our streams into FLVs, & I've been having so many problems getting my streams downloaded without lag, or some kind of corruption in the process. Lately, I'll download a stream that will have a lot of trouble rendering or converting into an MP4 (My video editing software is not compatible with FLVs) I use Handbrake to convert these (so far it's the ONLY successful method I've found, and yet when I put some clips into my video editor, it crashes constantly, most likely due to the data being corrupted or something from being converted.) If Twitch would just GIVE US THE OPTION to CHOOSE MP4, this would put this agony at an end.
Yes, I've tried IMPORTING these video files straight to YouTube, but because of the video game having any copyrighted songs (I heard a piece of a song on the radio in Slender- The Arrival for less than 12 seconds) and then YouTube deactivates the "Download to MP4" function. (face desk)
At this point, I'm almost BEGGING. I've found no SIMPLE way to get my streams off Twitch to edit later without problems. And no, PS4 will not allow me to record WHILE I'm streaming, and it also has a blocking method to use a Game Capture device to be used while you are also streaming. (Not without $50-$70 dollars worth of other equipment like HDMI splitters to confuse the PS4, etc etc etc.)
Why is it so DIFFICULT just to get my streams downloaded JUST to edit them? I could export the WHOLE thing, but I don't wish to put LONG unedited streams on YouTube, with long pauses for bathroom breaks or taking the dog out. Twitch, Google, & YouTube all have found ways to prevent me from doing this, unknowingly making my simple request completely impossible. I beg of you, please let us download them into MP4s!!! It's bad enough that in-game soundtrack music gets our streams MUTED, but could you please make this change soon? If anyone knows an easier method, any feedback is very appreciated.
