Watching VODs randomly skip portions

Hello, I've had this problem always and never did anything with it, but i'm getting curious as to whats up. Whenever i watch VODs the video will stop at random moments, skip 20-30 minutes and pick up there. This causes me to constantly click back to the moment the video stopped. It will start playing normally then until it happens again some time later, pause, skip to the same moment it skipped to before. So watching until say the 05.00 minute mark, pause, skip to the 28.00 minute mark. I click back to 5 minutes, but at 7.30 minutes it stops again and skips to the exact moment as before (28.00 minutes). Thanks in advance for any potential solutions or insights!
